Anirvan Deva

Rooted in the richness of diverse musical traditions, Anirvan Deva’s sound draws upon elements of South American, Middle Eastern and Indian culture as well as digital sound designs. A tribal, mesmerising, cosmic mix of various tonalities of world fusion and electronics, blended with deep bass, percussion and mantras designed to shake your body, expand your mind and awaken the Spirit within.

 

Originally from Italy, Anirvan Deva moved to Auckland 7 and a half years ago and as a DJ has raised the vibration at many festivals and events in Europe and New Zealand.  Every Wednesday on Radio Base fm, he broadcasts the show “Beneath The Surface”, a progressive sonic journey through the most diverse of genres and tempos to a deeper place of connection where the genre distinctions aren’t important, the content of the music is what matters.

 

The concept behind his works is to share relevant and uplifting messages for a genuine revolution of the heart.  Anirvan Deva has been practicing mantra meditation and a vegan lifestyle for more than a decade and he is inspired by those people who are moved by a feeling of universal love and do their best to make this planet a better place
