Prem Morunga is practitioner and student of Mirimiri, Romiromi, Taonga Pūoro and Whakairo. He is an arts and well-being practitioner working extensively in Aotearoa and the Pacific with whakairo, performing, and creative arts. Prem facilitates workshops exploring Mātauranga Māori philosophies, and delivers movement & dance, taonga pūoro, taiaha, and art workshops. He is inspired by the desire to support the holistic well-being of people from all cultures.

He will be running workshops on  “ manu waewae” , a muscle and bone session derived from our native bird movement and koauau  (making and using a traditional flute)  with an emphasis on technique and energy.

My name is Ruatau Perez and Te Maurea is the development and evolution of my Mahi as a Kaiako and practitioner of Maori healing over the past 17 years. My specialities include Māori Rongoa, romiromi, mirimiri, koomirimiri and whare wananga lore. I currently run two weekly wananga clinics in Auckland and there are many of my past students practising in Auckland and throughout New Zealand and Australia. Te Maurea is a Karere for upcoming wananga workshops, puure, romiromi and mirimiri clinics. I was privileged to have trained under Hohepa Delamere affectionately known as Papa Jo for ten years, and have been running his wananga since his untimely passing. Papa Jo was a highly renowned and internationally respected practitioner of Mātauranga and Rongoa Māori. I am proud to contribute to the continuation of his teachings and good works in the hand to hand way that keeps Māori healing alive.

Venerable Gyalten Sengye (Zac) is a Tibetan Buddhist Monk, of the Gelugpa Lineage. Sengye founded Awakening Vajra NZ – Center for Awareness here at Kawai Purapura, a global network of centers that preserves the ancient Buddhist Teachings from the Nalanda Spiritual University of India. He teaches Buddhist Philosophy, Meditation and Mindfulness practices to help to open our hearts to love, compassion and wisdom.
