Leighton Fairlie is a loop artist based in Auckland. This brand new project sees him mixing a range of dub, roots, hip hop, drum and bass and acoustic elements into a captivating and unique sound.

In the last 12 months Leighton has opened for bands such as Knights of the DUB Table, ManaLion, Salmonella Dub, Summer Thieves, Katchafire, The Black Seeds and Strangely Arousing. These opportunities have fed his drive to create and perform.

Having recently returned from a 6 date international tour of South America, Leighton has been hard at work in the studio recording his EP which he plans to release this summer. Inspired by a message of political awareness and overcoming the negativity in the world through love, self-love and positivity.

Leighton’s project includes brazilian, Fabiano Fava on the trumpet. His sound continues to develop and gain depth as he explores the untapped potential of New Zealand’s music industry.

Joydah Mae Bernardo

Joydah’s voice comes from a bloodline of many powerful voices. She carries the mana of both sides of her lineage and she uses the commercially successful skills of her father, a professional musician, alongside the sacred chants of her mother’s native mountain home high in the Philippines to create a channeling style that is just beginning to build momentum.

Finding her voice has been an important growth for her, all her life, but especially so lately as she journeys into social action. She has begun to collaborate with musicians in her home land, and write in her native tongue to talk about the things that matter to her.

Franco Luciani and Carolina Garcia

Franco is a Didacta in Biodanza and a Biocentric Educator. Provides training modules in Biodanza Schools and Biocentric Education workshops for children, youth and teachers.
Founder of Biodanza Activa and coordinates his social projects.

Carolina is a Biodanza Facilitator, Psychologist and Yoga Teacher, with vast experience leading Biodanza groups of children, adolescents and adults. Some of them in context with high social and emotional vulnerability. She has led biodanza sessions both in Chile and abroad.

Hello!  We are Jo and Amira MudWood.
Musicians, Artists of all sorts, Beings on a journey, and MamaZing Kombucha creators.
Our musical duet is called MudWood.
We are working on recording new music while being super busy with MamaZing Kombucha.

Music is our soul food and a large part of the medicine we share with the world. Our music is hard to define by genre.  It was once called World Acoustic Faery Soul.

Jo:  Guitarist, Vocalist, Songwriter, and other instruments. A Bard from the woods of Wales.  Jo’s voice is honest, clear,  and true. His Guitar playing is delicate, intricate, rich, and instinctual.

Amira:  Percussionist (Udu, Darbuka, Tabla, Djembe), Harp, Vocalist, SongwriterAmira’s Percussion is also delicate, sensitive, and Earthy.  Her voice is rich and other worldly.Amira’s Harp playing is ethereal and dreamy.

Rooted in the richness of diverse musical traditions, Anirvan Deva’s sound draws upon elements of South American, Middle Eastern and Indian culture as well as digital sound designs. A tribal, mesmerising, cosmic mix of various tonalities of world fusion and electronics, blended with deep bass, percussion and mantras designed to shake your body, expand your mind and awaken the Spirit within.

Originally from Italy, Anirvan Deva moved to Auckland 7 and a half years ago and as a DJ has raised the vibration at many festivals and events in Europe and New Zealand.  Every Wednesday on Radio Base fm, he broadcasts the show “Beneath The Surface”, a progressive sonic journey through the most diverse of genres and tempos to a deeper place of connection where the genre distinctions aren’t important, the content of the music is what matters.

The concept behind his works is to share relevant and uplifting messages for a genuine revolution of the heart.  Anirvan Deva has been practicing mantra meditation and a vegan lifestyle for more than a decade and he is inspired by those people who are moved by a feeling of universal love and do their best to make this planet a better place
